Relocating a container facility: what
you should know in advance.
Systematic dismantling
Before a container is moved, utilities are disconnected, walkways and stairs released and all parts labelled for re-erection. For facilities with interior fit-out, the joints between the containers are carefully separated so that they fit back together without damage at the new location.
Transport and permits
Standard container units fit on a normal lorry. Wider modules count as abnormal loads and need a permit, which takes lead time. For relocations abroad, the route and the regulations of the transit countries also have to be considered. We plan this as part of the project.
The new location
The same requirements apply at the destination as for a new installation: load-bearing foundations, a paved access road and space for the crane. Ideally, the foundations are in place before the facility is dismantled. The relocation can then go ahead without interim storage.
Interiors and operations
We move tools, furniture and interiors along with the facility. To keep the interruption to your operations as short as possible, we coordinate dismantling and re-erection dates closely with you.
